Dandelion Treats

Our two bunnies (Wubzy and Matilda), love to eat dandelions.  Since  there are so many in our neighborhood, my  kids and I always picked some when we go for a walk or coming home from school.
These two  gets so excited whenever  they see these flowers. It is like a sweet treats to them.
If Ms. Burrito is serious in picking flowers, the other one is  seriously   spreading out the dandelions wahhh.  He would always "Make a wish!"
I read an article about dandelions or the Traxacum Officinale  and  found out that as pesky as it is these weeds to some people,  the herbalists consider it as a valuable  herb in treating some health condition like liver problems, skin problems, heartburn and more.  It said on the article that Dandelions are rich in Vitamins A, B complex, C, and D and minerals such as Potassium, zinc, and iron.  It is interesting to note that dandelions can be used as an added flavor to  salads, sandwiches and tea.  The roots are used in some coffee substitutes and the flowers  are used to make wines.

Birds of the same Feather..

Flock together.

Photo was taken while we were on the intersection waiting for the red light to turn green.

Chewing Gum

I was browsing my old posts when I just started blogging and I found this one and thought of reposting it.

This was original posted on July 21, 2008 when we were still living in S. Korea.

My daughter Rylie love chewing gum. The other day we went to the store and as my husband was paying at the counter, Rylie slid a roll of chewing gum in front of her Dad. She was so sleak.. The cashier laughed to her gesture.

When we arrived home, she immediately opened it and stuck the whole thing in her mouth. Me and my husband were laughing but at the same time concerned that she might choke on it. Well, I think that she got tired of chewing it that she fell asleep. I tried taking it out but she resisted so we just let her took her nap with the gum inside her mouth.

My husband went to the bedrom to check on her and he came back and told  me  "where's the camera?" I said "why?". He said "I have to take this awesome pose". And here it is: Poor little thing!

melancholy feeling

It's gloomy and it's raining here today , which brings back memories to one of the posts I've made more than three years ago.  Our little man is so small on this picture.

How do you feel when it's raining? I don't like rainy days, they always make me feel kind of sad. Today is one of those boring days, the rain started last night and it's already 5 o'clock in the afternoon now and it still pouring.. My kiddos can't go outside so all they can do is make a mess around the house. Gosh, drives me nuts! It's hard to keep the house organized when you have makukulit ones. Well, all we can do is just enjoy the moment.

Nature Trek

On Holy Saturday of Easter, we decided to do a little trekking at the nearby woods.

The four of us love doing this kind of stuff.  It's a great bonding and a good opportunity for the kids to see things in the nature.
We climb down and up the hill  in order for us to see the lake.
I was proud of how our Burritos could climb  the steep hill without  complaining.
This is the lake that they call "Car Lake" because of some car parts that were in the lake.
We went around the hill and looked down the lake at a different angle atop the steep hill.
As we came out the woods, we saw four big  deer running away from us.  Couldn't take a photo as they were fast!
It was a fun and memorable way of us in celebrating the  Holy Saturday.

Tiki Tiki

I am not exactly sure what this feature is called but my burritos called it Tiki Tiki lol. These shots were taken at Magic Kingdom of Disney World.
Those are the things that will appear on top of the water when you steer the steering wheels.

Volunteer Teacher

The Burritos did not expect any treats from the Easter Bunny this year but the "Easter Bunny" left them something at our storage area.  Daddy told the kids to look for it in the house but they couldn't find any so he suggested for them to look in the basement, garage, and storage.  Here's Mr. Burrito finding the Easter baskets   in their bikes.
Ms. Burrito had  an 11 days off from school during Easter  holiday so he volunteered to teach his brother. She is stricter than me so Mr. Burrito complained sometimes about it.
It is so nice to hear when the two  are working together but it is challenging when  their  ideas clashed and does not conform with each other.  Oh boy, my Burritos are NOT babies anymore.  In fact, Mr. Burrito objects when I call him my "Baby" lol.

Let me end this post by sharing you this quote by the novelist, Vladimir Navokov.
"Discussion in class, which means letting twenty young blockheads
and two cocky neurotics discuss something that
neither their teacher nor they know."

Actor and Actress Pretenders

These are my little artists pretending to be an actor and actress. They would often climb in our bed and sing and dance to entertain us.
Mr. Burrito love to strum his guitar and Ms. Burrito would sing her heart out  using the Paper Jamz Pro Series or sometimes they would sing using our karaoke mic.  It's  a fun  and joyful entertainment to watch these  angels of mine.   I'll show you the picture of my husband when he  played bass in their  band during his teenage years lol.
I hope you guys enjoyed the extra day off  yesterday, we had a blast!

bed of roses

Roses has a lot of thorns but I love having them in my garden. I took these photos when we were still living in Korea.  I have different kinds of roses there, too bad I couldn't bring  them here when we moved back lol.
These are my collections... Wish I could preserve them lol..
