Pressure Washing the Fence

We pressure washed our  wooden fence last month as we are planning to stain/paint it as soon as the weather  permits us.  It's been raining  here so we can't really do it yet.  The weather this year is so weird.  Thanks to our  very good neighbor, Don for lending us  his pressure washer.

We always  involve our children in  most of the things that we do.  Its one of  the many things of showing them how important they are to us.  Their opinion matters to us so whenever  me and my husband are planning of something, we always consult them.  I know that they are still young but we want to  let them know  that we truly CARE!

Black Water Falls

We went for  a road trip  last weekend.  We have been wanting  to explore some of the beautiful places here in West Virginia and we got to see some of it last Sunday.  Our first stop was the Black Water Falls State Park located in Davis, West Virginia.  It was very unfortunate that  the rain was pouring hard when we are approaching the State Park.  Nevertheless, it did not stop us from seeing the beauty of the falls.  Below are some photos.
Luckily, we had one umbrella  from our vehicle.  I feel bad for this lady who  works there as she was trying to entertain the  guests even if it was raining.  We stopped by and  we let the kids  guessed what kind of  scat/poop of animals they see on the  table.
Me and hubby  were  laughing because we thought of adding one more W to Wild and Wonderful West Virginia and  that is Wet!

We decided not to go to the Salt Sands as the kids were getting so wet.
A good Samaritan offered to take us a family photo.  We returned the favor and took  a photo of them as well.

Our road trip did not end there.  Tune in for some more next time.

Blackwater Falls
Here is some facts about Black Water Falls taken from their website (the last photo was also from their website).  See how pretty it is when it's not raining?

Blackwater Falls State Park is named for the falls of the Blackwater River whose amber-colored waters plunge five stories then twist and tumble through an eight-mile long gorge.

The "black" water is a result of tannic acid from fallen hemlock and red spruce needles. The falls are one of the most photographed sites in West Virginia.

Love Thy Neighbors ... Fun with the Howells

One of our closest neighbors are the Howells ladies.  The Burritos are very  fond of them and vice versa.  They always invite  the Burritos for a movie night and  they would always play board games and chase each other outside.  Our neighbors here are our second  family, they are awesome!  The photos below were taken during the movie night at their house.

I want to believe that God led us to find this home when we were house hunting because this house is not really what my husband and I were looking for but we ended up getting it.  This isn't the ideal house but the  family that we found through our  neighbors is priceless.

The Miracle Fold Laundry Folder

Being a stay -at-home-mom is a great blessing as you get to spend quality time with your kids and you don't have to  hire someone to take care of them.  I remember one time, someone told me that I should use my time in a more productive way than just staying at home.  I just smiled and say that I am very productive at home, that the time I spent with my kids cannot be  paid with any amount that I will get if I am working outside home.

Everyone has   their own opinion and I know in my heart that I am doing the right thing for my family and kids.  Besides, the person that once told me did not know that I also work at home, the only difference  of my situation and  that person's,   is the fact that I get to spend  time with my kids and earn at the same time while that person is  always away from their kids and  they hire someone to look after their kids.  Financially, it isn't the wisest decision,  but  hey, money isn't everything, would you agree?

Anyway, being a SAHM can be overwhelming at times as you have to do everything, from cooking to cleaning, to doing laundry.  Doing laundry is somehow one of my favorite house chores and folding the  clean clothes that smells so good  is a form of relaxation for me.  That is also  a time that I can watch TV hehehe.  Having said that, folding clothes has just gotten much  better as  I was given an opportunity to try this  laundry folder from Miracle Fold.

I don't know about you but sometimes, time just passes by without me noticing it.  Sometimes, I have so many things to do and  time isn't enough especially if I have  may tasks online.  Using this Miracle fold will help me fold  the bigger clothes a lot faster and easier.  This works great with t-shirts, long sleeves, polo shirts, and more.

In my case, that I have two  children, this only helps me with   my me and my husband's  clothes and doesn't  help much with the kids clothes.  What I like about it is that you can fold the clothes very neatly and uniformly, hence, organizing  your  clothes is  a lot easier.  For someone who doesn't like ironing clothes like me, this is a winner as  it eliminates wrinkles  when you fold the shirts through the Miracle Fold.

If you want to try how this works, just  visit the link provided above.  Now, if I have to give it a rating, I would say 4 out of 5.  Thank you Miracle Fold!
